The Rompin' Rectifier Relocate Rumble

When installing aftermarket exhaust pipes, the infamous "goats belly" is subsequently removed. This leaves an open space in front of the rear tire that really highlights the rectifier. A lot of people don't care for this look and move the rectifier to the front of the bike.
If you're working on a Classic you'll find there is already one rectifier mounted below the radiator. You can simply move the one on the side up to the front and attach them side by side like they're mounted on the Nomad. If you have a Meanstreak or Drifter you only have a single stator so only one rectifier and you're going to need a bracket. You can either order a Nomad rectifier bracket from Kawasaki part number 11053-0434 which costs about $20 or you can make your own based on this drawing courtesy of Virg from the Delphi Drifter forum
1. Remove your left engine cover. It's easier than it looks, just remove your left floorboard or footpeg, the shift lever and the Allen head bolts holding the cover in place. Pull the cover straight off and put it in a safe place.
2. ) Unbolt the rectifier from the rectifier bracket.
3. ) Unbolt the rectifier bracket from the bike.
4. ) Trace the rectifier wire to the wiring harness and disconnect it.
5. ) Using the original hardware if you're working on a Classic or your new mount on a MS or Drifter mount the rectifier to the front of the bike (beside the rectifier already present for a Classic).
6.) Route the rectifier wire along side the other rectifier wire already there back to the wiring harness and plug it in. From the front of the bike your installation will look like this or like this depending whether you have one rectifier or two.
7.) Re-install the side chrome cover making sure to tuck all wiring underneath.
8.) Re-install the front shift pedal assembly by carefully aligning the indentations up.
9.) Re-install the rear shift pedal assembly putting it back where it was mainly so it's comfortable to you.
10.) Re-install the floor board or peg.
11) Congratulate yourself on doing a great job and go ride !

What You'll Need
2 x pipe clamp with screw nut for 1” pipe-diameter (remove the rubber)
4 x screw (M4 x 20) to replace the original clamp screws
2 x screw (M8 x 30)
2 x distance bush (length: 2 cm ~ 0.8 in.)
1 x angle plate (length: 10 cm ~ 4 in. – leg length: 3 cm ~ 1.2 in.)
All the above will probably cost you less than $5
How To Do It
1. Unbolt the rectifier from the rectifier bracket and bracket from the bike
2. Remove your left engine cover. It's easier than it looks; just remove your left foot peg, the shift lever and the Allen head bolts holding the cover in place.
3. Trace the rectifier wire to the wiring harness and disconnect it.
4. Attach bolts for the rectifier at the angle plate and check for fit
5. Attach bolts for the pipe clamps at the angle plate and check for fit
6. Mount spacer
7. Assemble all parts that belong with the rectifier as shown
8. Install the mounting plate at the swingarm tube as shown
9. Install rectifier at the mounting plate
10. Route the rectifier wire inside the fame an connect the plugs, Re-install the side chrome cover, Re-install the front shift pedal, Re-install the foot peg
